SpecTRACKular 1 Mile Prediction Run and Moe’s Mile

This past Wednesday, at the Patriot High School track, we had 3 heats of summer fun at our 1 Mile Prediction Run, followed by the ever popular Moe’s Mile race!

For the Prediction Run, runners ran a mile without their watches trying to come as close as possible to the their predicted finish time, while TRS timers carefully noted their times. Tom Jubb proved he knew his pacing best – coming in just 00.00.08 past his predicted time! Congrats Tom! Cheryl Tibbs and Steve Chalke came in second and third, only about 3.5 seconds off their predicted times. They each won TRS gift cards, $50, $25 and $10 respectively!

JD Holder won the Moe’s Mile with an impressive time of 11:30 after eating 4 burritos! He also wins a $50 TRS gift card – congrats!

Congrats to all runners! Keep those times in mind when you do this again next year!

A big THANK YOU to Moe’s for providing us with the yummy burritos!

Run the Freedom Firecracker 5k and 1 Mile Run

lateregFun Run Racing (FRR) is well into their countdown leading up to their Freedom Firecracker 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run on July 4. This family friendly event is a fun and exciting celebration of July 4th. There are many who wear  patriotic themed gear. As with all FRR races, this is a festive affair – music, best costume awards, and the World Famous FRR finish line envelopes featuring the random FRR Golden Ticket awards (just hope for a “Willy Wonka-like” golden ticket). Runners will be treated “in race” to the cool sounds of musician Jacob Chroussis.
