Have you always wanted to run but are not sure how to get started? Are you returning to running after a long lay-off or injury? If so, our Beginning Running program is for you. This program is a good bridge from walking to running. The program begins with a series of run/walk workouts and builds up to running an entire 5k race of your choice.
Participants receive the following:
- An initial phone consult to discuss your current fitness level, prior running history and fitness goals
- Detailed training schedule specific to your ability level and goals
- Twice weekly group coached workouts that begin as a series of run/walk workouts and build up to running an entire 5k
- Educational materials on various running related topics such as nutrition, hydration, injury prevention,core strength and much more
Here is our 2017 class schedule:
Session I – April 3rd – May 24th
Session II – May 29th – July 26th (no class the week of June 26th)
Session III – September 4th – October 25th
Cost for the Beginning Running Class is $160 ($136.00 for TRS VIP Members). We will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings in Bristow from 5:45-6:45 PM. Registration is now open for Session III.
