We offer two youth running clubs – our spring Track and Field Club and our Fall Cross Country Club. The success of our programs is due to the dedication of our young athletes, the commitment of our coaches and the strong participation of our parent volunteers. It’s exciting to watch the children increase their endurance, develop confidence in their abilities, surpass their own expectations, and enjoy the spirit of competition.
Our coaches and staff place an even greater emphasis on good sportsmanship. Our goal is to foster a team environment that will support our youth emotionally and socially and help them build a positive self-image. To this end, TRS Youth Running Club will participate in cross country events and competitive track and field events sanctioned by the USA Track and Field (USATF) organization and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Competition will also help improve leadership skills and encourage greater participation in school sport programs.
Spring Track and Field
Our youth spring track and field program provides opportunities to learn about running as well as an introduction to the disciplines of throws, jumps, sprints and hurdles. Our goal is to create a positive learning environment where your child will develop proper form and discipline to improve speed, agility, endurance and performance. They will progress over the season by developing an understanding of the different concepts of track and field.

Fall Cross Country
Our fall cross country program focuses on long distance running. We strive to create a positive learning environment where your child will develop proper form and discipline to improve speed, agility, endurance and performance. They will progress over the season by developing an understanding of the concept of “pace” and the mental side of running, which in turn will greatly improve their individual times and increase the distances which they can run.
